How Does the Program work?

To apply, please complete the application (click link): GOODS Program Application

Once you have completed the application, please email a copy of your IRS Determination Letter and Form 990 from the last 3 years to mgarcia@fresnohumane.org

Our team will review your application and forms and may have some follow up questions. You will receive a message if you are accepted or denied.

Accepted organizations are placed in a rotation for distributions. When food is available, Fresno Humane will notify groups of the type of food and/or supplies and give them the opportunity to participate. Recipient groups are responsible for picking up and transporting goods back to their own organization. FHAS cannot deliver goods.

Participating groups may need to send in their latest census counts and Fresno Humane will determine an equitable distribution of the food, taking into account factors such as the number and size of animals, whether any group received food more recently than another one, distance traveled, or special circumstances, like large food donations from other sources.

Fresno Humane will notify each group of the amount allocated, the place and time for pickup, and the amount of handling fees, if any.

As a grant program, we cannot guarantee that food will always be supplied to any one organization or that a grant will meet all of the organization’s needs for any period of time.
